Jazz composer and musician Gershon and his ten-piece big band Either-Orchestra conducted an open rehearsal with the Harvard Jazz Band, featuring soloist John Carlson. Rehearsal included Gershon's arrangement of Willow Weep for Me, by Ann Ronell (Radcliffe 1927) and his own Born in a Suitcase.

Ann Ronell (1903-1993) composer and lyricist, was born Anne Rosenblatt in Omaha, Nebraska. She transferred from Wheaton College to Radcliffe College and graduated in 1927. In 1935 she married Lester Cowan, an independent film producer. Encouraged by Irving Berlin and George Gershwin, Ronell wrote the words and music of popular songs including, "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?", "Willow Weep for Me," and "Whistle While You Work."
